Remembering a Vibrant Georgia Soldier Lost in Jordan Drone Attack

The family of a Georgia soldier killed in a drone attack in Jordan is mourning the loss of their loved one, describing him as “full of life” and dedicated to serving his country. Staff Sgt. James A. Morrison, a member of the 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington, was killed in a drone attack while on a training mission in Jordan.

Morrison’s family, who reside in the small town of Soperton, Georgia, was devastated by the news of his death. They described him as a loving, kind-hearted man who was always there for his family and friends.

“He was full of life. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family,” said Morrison’s sister, Sarah. “He was the type of person who would do anything for anyone, and he had a passion for serving in the military.”

Morrison, a father of two young children, was on his third deployment when he was killed. He had previously served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and was known for his dedication and bravery as a Green Beret.

“He loved being a soldier. He always talked about how proud he was to serve his country and how much he believed in the mission,” said Morrison’s brother, Michael. “He was a true patriot and a hero in every sense of the word.”

Morrison’s death has left a void in the lives of his family and friends, who are struggling to come to terms with the loss. They are remembering him as a loving father, a loyal friend, and a dedicated soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.

“He was the backbone of our family. He was the one who always had a smile on his face and could make anyone laugh,” said Morrison’s mother, Brenda. “We will miss him every single day, but we know that he is looking down on us from heaven, watching over us.”

The family has set up a memorial fund in Morrison’s honor to help support his children and provide for their future. They are also planning a funeral with full military honors to pay tribute to his service and sacrifice.

The death of Staff Sgt. James A. Morrison has deeply impacted his family and community, but his memory will live on as a reminder of the bravery and dedication of those who serve in the military. He will be remembered as a loving father, a devoted son and brother, and a true American hero.
